This basic training class teaches you how to properly communicate with your dog and learn sit, stay, down, come, place, leave it, drop it, and leash walking. We will also discuss unwanted behaviors such as digging and jumping.
Note: Space is limited to 6 dogs.

Four-week training program

Saturdays       |  10:00 – 11:00 am |    Register

Week 1: Behavior marking (clicker vs verbal), Release commands, Sit with target, Sit with leash cue;
Week 2: Sit and down with a pendulum (being able to do a 360 around commanded dog), and sit with distractions;
Week 3: Wait, Get behind, Heel;
Week 4: Quiet, Find it/Search, Proofing exercises.

This level 2 obedience training class teaches you how to properly take your communication skills with your dog to the next level. Working as a next step after completing a Basic Obedience Class - Level 1, you will understand how to add more distance and distractions to sit and down, tighten up your skills on a leash, as well as games and unwanted behavior like excessive barking.
